On Friday 26th February, 2021, Ric Hassani dropped his album – The Prince I Became – and one of the songs that made it to the album was “Thunder Fire You”.
The track had been gaining wide attention even before the album dropped. “Thunder Fire You” is a song that slams people who hurt others that gave them their hearts.
Unfortunately, the song was banned by the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC). Many has suggested that it is because of the repeated line “Thunder Fire You” in the song.
However since the ban of the song, Ric Hassani has gained more attention. His album even moved up the chart in the Nigerian music scene, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Instead of lamenting over the ban, Ric Hassani is happy. Funny enough, he sent out some posts on Twitter to appreciate the NBC for banning his song
