- Most of us are used to ‘Googling’ answers to things we don’t know, and Google gives you instant access to virtually all the world’s information
- Google has become a critical part of our lives, thanks to the tremendous growth in mobile searches
There are lots of things you should never Google. They range from weird photos, scary videos, bizarre facts, and your ties.
As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG , Here are 14 things you should never search on Google:
(1.) Smoker’s lungs
It’s no secret that smoking is harmful to your health, especially your lungs. The web is full of images of the abnormal lungs of heavy smokers, which you could take too seriously and freak out.
But if you are a heavy smoker who has been trying to quit for years, a look at the pictures of the smoker’s lungs might just do the trick.
(2.) Mr. Hands
‘Mr. Hands might sound like a sci-fi character, but don’t be tempted to search for it on Google. Mr. Hands is the name of a former Boeing engineer named Kenneth Pinyan, who died in 2005.
The search results could include the video of Pinyan having séx with a horse. Kenneth Pinyan died after receiving anál séx from the horse, which harshly punctured his colon.
After the incident which was videotaped by Pinyan’s friend, the state of Washington passed a bill forbidding sex with animals.
(3.) Dangerous animals
Please, stay away from such a list unless you want to acquire new phobias because searching for images of dangerous animals on Google is not for the faint of heart.
Pictures of snakes, crocodiles, golden poison frogs, and other animals could give you a new phobia. Besides, such a phobia may deter you from traveling. You don’t want that to happen, right?
(4.) Your favorite food
This is one of the things you should never Google. Looking at the appetizing pictures of your special food will only make you hungry.
Some people have this obsession with Googling their favorite food followed by the word ‘Cancer.’ If you do this, you’ll likely come across at least one search result that relates your favorite food with cancer. We don’t want you to start panicking.
(5.) Your deepest insecurities
They say Google and Facebook know more about you than you know about yourself. Browsing for your deep insecurities will provide Google and its advertisers with more information on you.
They capitalize on your insecurities to sell you products and services armed with more information.
Though it might not seem like a big deal to you. But seeing ads all over the internet of things that make you feel bad about yourself is not a good thing.
(6.) Medical or drug information
Google claims to restrict advertisers from showing you ads based on sensitive information such as your health information and religious belief. But Google doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to user safety and privacy.
It still records your search results, links them with your Google account or IP address, and shows you ads across its products and services.
Numerous experts have found that searching for medical and drug information on Google poses a serious threat to your privacy.
(7.) Your symptoms
If you have an illness, go to a real doctor instead of relying on information from Google. Many websites specialize in such content, and, of course, most of them are not managed by medical professionals.
Some people spend hours researching their symptoms to persuade themselves that they have cancer or some other rare disease.
If you have any kind of health issues, don’t ask “Doctor Google.” Schedule a visit to a real doctor instead.
(8.) Anything criminal
Searching for suspicious terms like ‘how to make amphetamines’ or ‘how to get away with murder’ might get you in serious trouble. It doesn’t make a difference if you’re just an inquisitive teenager trying to improve your knowledge, with no horrible intentions.
Tabs on searches for suspicious terms are been kept by the security and drug control services. A few years ago, a family in the US searched for the term “pressure cooker bomb” and another member of the same family search for “backpack.”
And soon they had local authorities knocking on their door. You don’t want to get in trouble because of your curiosity, do you?
This is the case where the less you know, the better you sleep. There are so many types of this disease in this world, and most of them happen to bear symptoms that could be very common for many other harmless conditions.
Most people experience such things as dizziness, weakness, nausea, etc., so you’ll perhaps mistake something else for cancer and will make you start panicking.
(10.) Bedbug infestation
You must have heard about these tiny monsters, especially from any kind of hotel review. And probably even some of you have encountered their harm on your skin.
But have you ever thought about what bedbug infestations look like? Please, don’t look it up if you want to have a sound sleep at night.
(11.) Skin condition
There are numerous diseases associated with the skin, and most of them look awful. For some reason, you can find online images of almost all of them.
However, this kind of content can be greatly disturbing, so it’s much better to stay ignorant in this case.
(12. ) Your name
Our privacy has been greatly questioned in the era of the internet and it’s not a big secret. If you try to google your name, most probably you will fumble upon some horrible outcomes.
Bad photos of you, outdated information, or irrelevant content – some could take such things way too seriously. If they find something like this, they will want to delete it all.
Nevertheless, that’s not an easy thing to do. Probably we should take it easy, or we should simply don’t google it.
(13.) Giving birth
None of us can deny that we’ve not seen those scenes in movies. Women screaming, while doctors trying to calm them down. Though it all looks stressful, even in movies.
Nevertheless, the real procedure of giving birth is more disturbing. It’s very dangerous for a woman to watch and may even discourage her from having children at all.
(14.) Do not Google online banking website
There are many unreal online banking websites on Google. Unless you know the exact official URL, it is highly advisable not to do a Google search to find your bank’s online banking website.
To access the site to stay safe, always enter the official URL of your bank’s online banking portal. This is because chances of hacking increase drastically in which you might enter your bank’s login ID and password on a website that may just look like the bank’s official website and could be a hacking site instead
