JUST IN: Gunmen Invade Hotel In Abuja, Abduct Guests

  • Unknown gunmen have invaded a hotel in Abuja and abducted some guests.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers, in the wee hours of Thursday, broke into Hilltop Hotel at Tunga Maje in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and abducted some guests.

It was gathered that the unknown gunmen shot unchallenged for over 30 minutes before whisking the guests away.

A former lawmaker in Kogi State, Hon. Friday Sani Makama, was said to be among the abducted guests but the claim has not been independently verified.

EKO HOT BLOG understands that Tunga Maje is one of the Abuja communities that has recorded multiple attacks in the current wave of insecurity in the Federal Capital Territory.

It was, however, learnt that the gunmen were yet to contact the family members of the victims or their friends as of the time of writing this report.

As gathered by EKO HOT BLOG, the incident was confirmed by the police spokesperson in the FCT, ASP Mariam Yusuf, noting that “the command has launched a strategic operation to rescue the victims unhurt”.
