- DSS has filed new charges against Sunday Igboho’s aides.
EKOHOTBLOG reports that the Department of State Services (DSS) has filed terrorism charges against two detained aides of popular Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho.
The charges were filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday.
The latest development is coming after over two months the DSS arrested and detained the two aides of Sunday Igboho as the secret police refused to grant them bail despite a court order.
The DSS through its lawyer S.M. Bello, via the suit no FHC/ABJ/CR/305/2021, which was dated August 31, 2021, filed five terrorism charges against Noah Oyetunji and Amudat Babatunde, popularly known as Lady K.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the secret police alleged that Oyetunji was in possession of fire arms for terrorism-related activities while Babatunde promoted terroristic acts through her Facebook account.
Meanwhile, the detainees’ lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, while reacting to the new charges filed by the DSS, said, “The charges are baseless, vexatious, shameful and without limbs.”
EKOHOTBLOG reports that Federal High Court in Abuja has not fixed any date for the hearing.
It would be further recalled that the DSS, on July 1, 2021, raided the residence of Sunday Igboho in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, and arrested about 12 of his aides.
The secret police also killed two of the aides in a gun battle.
The supporters of the Yoruba secessionist leader were later moved to Abuja where they were detained by the secret police.
However, the DSS has so far released 10 supporters of Sunday Igboho contrary to an order of the court that granted bail to the arrested 12 aides of the Yoruba Nation agitator in the custody of the secret police.
The two persons yet to regain freedom from the DSS custody include Lady K and one other.
