- Former Governor of Ekiti State visits the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
- Fayose’s visit according to him was to wish Tinubu a quick recovery.
Ekohotblog reports that the former Governor of Ekiti State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ayodele Fayose on Tuesday paid a visit to the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
According to Fayose, his visit was to wish Tinubu a speedy recovery and not political.
Tinubu recently travelled to the United Kingdom for medical treatment. According to reports, he spent months there recovering after knee surgery.
He praised God for allowing him to return to the nation following his medical trip abroad.
Fayose, speaking over the phone with newsmen, stressed that notwithstanding his visit to the former Lagos State governor, he remained a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader.
He said:” was at Bourdillon today to wish Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu a quick recovery. Health issues know no party. Majority don’t celebrate people when they are alive but likes to sign condolence register. That is not the best way of life.
“Politics should not be a disadvantage, but an advantage and we should have love for each other. Again I wish Asiwaju, like every Nigerian leader, sound and robust health.
“To those negative political analysts., I am for all times an unrepentant PDP leader and key stakeholder.”
