2022 has been a tough year for the Nollywood, as the film industry has lost so many bright and shining stars.

Well, in this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking some prominent Nollywood stars who died in 2022.

1. Chinedu Bernard

Chinedu Bernard was a Nollywood actress and photographer. She was very popular in the Nollywood and made appearances in so many movies, including; The Regret, Unlocked, Love Without Conscience, Who Runs The City Just A Wish, My Sister’s Man, Money Fever, and Royal Bracelet.

Chinedu Bernard passed away on the 29th of April, 2022 at the age of 20. She slumped during the cleaning of the Chapel of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Enugu State.

2. Gbenga Richards

Gbenga Richards was a Nollywood actor known for his intimidating voice with his exceptional acting skills. He was famous for his roles in 30 Days (2006), Darkest Night (2005), and Betrayed by Love (2004).

The movie star died on May 12, 2022, after battling several illnesses.

3. David Osagie

David Osagie was a famous and professional Nollywood actor, scriptwriter, and producer.

He was popular for his role as a king in most movies or as an elder kingsman. Some of his movies include: My Sorrow My Pain, Agunna and Lost Battle. David Osagie died on May 4, 2022 at the age of 53. The cause of his death was unknown.

4. Lari Williams

Lari Williams was the inaugural president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. He created an admirable legacy for himself in the Nigerian movie industry that will surely live on even for years to come.
