Eko Hot Blog reports that the member representing Epe Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Wale Raji, has called on undecided voters to cast their votes for the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
He made the call on the sidelines of the APC campaign flag-off in Lagos on Saturday, November 26, 2022.
The lawmaker also hailed the party faithful for making a bold statement with their mammoth-crowd-like support for Tinubu’s candidacy.
According to Raji, who accompanied the former Lagos governor to the venue, the multitude of supporters in Lagos was an indication that the party is in control of the state.
“It shows clearly that Lagos is APC and it remains an APC stronghold. I rode in the same truck that brought Asiwaju to the venue yesterday right from the government house in Marina to Teslim Balogun Stadium Surulere,” the representative from Epe said.
“The spontaneous response from the crowd was ecstatic and overwhelming. People came out along the route to the venue, cheering Asiwaju and his running mate all the way to Surulere.
“That is a clear demonstration of support. A clear statement of acceptance of Asiwaju as the preferred candidate in the next Presidential election.”
Raji, therefore, seized the medium to extend his gratitude towards his constituents for their overwhelming support and vital feedbacks.
He noted that their support has kept him going in delivering unprecedented qualitative and quality dividends of democracy in all sectors of society.
“The general opinion of the people is that our performance is unprecedented. The impact on the lives of the good people of Epe Federal Constituency has been beyond expectation,” the lawmaker said.
“In terms of educational development, we have facilitated the construction of nothing less than 50 fully-furnished classrooms. Where there was no public school like Temu, we’ve facilitated the establishment of a functional secondary school.
“In the area of healthcare, the Iraiye Primary Health Center is the first to be built in that community and it was facilitated by us. In the area of the local economy, under the first phase of reconstruction, Aiyetoro market 66 lock-up shops have been completed while also 55 have been completed at Mojoda.
“At Ito-Ikin, market, we facilitated the construction of 120 open stalls which were allocated free of charge to the market women and today, we have added 40 lock-up shops.”
On road infrastructure, Raji disclosed that the Odo-Shiwola road, Dauda Buhari road, Wale Adenusi road and other road networks along the LASU-Iraiye boundary have been completed and await commissioning.
He added that over 12 boreholes and 480 solar streetlights have been erected at various locations across the Epe federal constituency.
The representative also disclosed that 140 old people have been benefitting from his welfare schemes for the ageing people with a monthly allowance of N10,000 which had begun in the past 26 months.
Raji further expressed hopes of emerging victorious against his opponents in the 2023 general elections, vowing that he will take representation to a new level of excellence.
“The response we get is that the people of the Epe federal constituency are happy with us and they want us to continue,” he said.
“The level of support was demonstrated during the last APC primaries in which we recorded 93.3 % of the total votes cast.
“It can only get better; I want to assure the people of the Epe federal constituency that they’ve seen nothing.
“When we emerge victorious come 2023, God willing, it would be an opportunity for renewal of hope and we will not disappoint them.
“In terms of performance, we will take representation in the Epe federal constituency to another level of excellence.”
