A man has stabbed his wife to death over water in Lagos.
Eko Hot Blog reports that one Lawrence Itape has killed his wife in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

Itape, 49, allegedly stabbed his partner over an argument about the non-availability of water in their seaside estate home.
According to the Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Langbasa, Stephen Abolarin, moved to the come scene upon receiving the information.
Hundeyin disclosed that the suspect has been arrested and the knife used in the act recovered.
“The case file and the suspect have been transferred to SCIID, Panti, Yaba in Lagos for discreet investigation,” he said.

The police spokesman in Lagos added that the corpse has been deposited at the Mainland General Hospital mortuary, Yaba, Lagos for autopsy and preservation.
