Vote And Go Home -- Deputy IG Of Police, John Amadi Warns

The deputy Inspector General of Police has issued a strict warning to would-be aggressors of the 2023 governorship elections to avoid violence or face the consequences.
Inspector John Amadi who is in charge of the South East region of Nigeria told the Umuahia indigenes to vote and go home immediately, warning that any attempts to disrupt the process would be met with harshly.
Anybody that wants to disrupt the election process should do so knowing of certain death, John Amadi threatened troublemakers.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Nigerian police have issued a stern warning to individuals and groups who plan to disrupt the governorship and state assembly elections that will take place today, March 18, 2023, in 28 states across the country.

The Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the South-East region, John Amadi, issued the warning on Thursday in Umuahia while addressing officers of the state command at the Police Officers’ Mess.

John Amadi stressed that anyone planning to disrupt the electoral process should be ready to face the consequences, even if it means losing their life in the process. He urged voters to cast their votes peacefully and return home to await the outcome of the electoral process.

The DIG said, “Anybody that wants to disrupt the system should be ready to die, and anybody that wants to die should come out and disrupt the system. If you love your life, keep away, cast your vote, go home and wait for the result.”
