1. NDLEA seizes 228kg cannabis, arrests suspect in Ondo
The Ondo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Thursday said it had seized 228 kilogram of cannabis sativa also known as indian hemp in Ondo State, and arrested one as suspect.
The suspect, Ayodele Osuya, was arrested with the cannabis by the men of the anti-drug agency in Akure, the state capital.
The state commander of the agency, Mr Kayode Raji, stated this at the command’s headquarters in Akure.
According to the commander, the men of the command had been on the trail of Osuya for a long time.
2. Elections: NNPP performance affected by poor logo printing, says Kwankwaso
The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the just concluded presidential election, Musa Kwankwaso, on Thursday. expressed dissatisfaction over what he described as poor printing of the party’s logo by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
According to him, what the commission presented as the logo of the NNPP was good enough to cancel the whole national election, insisting that a lot of the party’s supporters were disenfranchised.
Kwankwaso, a former Minister of Defence and former governor of Kano State stated these during the National Executive Committee meeting of the NNPP in Abuja.
He threatened to seek redress in court against INEC if the situation was not looked into in subsequent elections.
3. Interim govt not happening under Buhari – Lalong
The Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, on Thursday, in Abuja, said an interim government to allegedly thwart the inauguration of Bola Tinubu would not work under the watch of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.).
Lalong said this shortly after an audience with the President Buhari at Aso Rock.
This comes barely 24 hours after the presidential campaign councils of the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party challenged the Department of State Services to apprehend plotters of the interim national government.

Some candidates who sat for the 2023 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Board (JAMB) mock examinations scheduled for March 30 have expressed concern over some technical hitches experienced during the examinations.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) correspondent who monitored the examinations in some Computer Based Test (CBT) centers discovered that while some centres had hitch-free sessions, some had some technical problems.

Recall that the Returning Officer of the Abia governorship election, Prof. Nnenna Oti claimed that she was offered financial incentives to manipulate the election results.

Nigerian comedian, Ayodeji Makun, popularly known as AY, has disclosed how he lost N500 million to a non-smoking nightclub business.
AY said the nightclub business crashed after investing N500 million into it.

AY revealed that his wife had opposed the business idea but he failed to heed.

7. NBA demands arrest, prosecution of electoral offenders
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has demanded the arrest and prosecution of electoral offenders identified during the just- concluded General Elections.
The association made the call in a communique by its National Publicity Secretary, Akorede Habeeb-Lawal at the end of its National Executive Council (NEC) quarterly meeting held in Kebbi on March 23.
The association condemned what it described as tribal and ethnic bigotry, violence and intimidation of voters recorded during the elections, particularly in Lagos State.
“NEC calls for the prosecution of identified electoral offenders,” it said.
8. Obi-Datti: APC PCC petitions NBC against Channels TV
The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) on Thursday petitioned the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), accusing Channels Television of allegedly breaching the broadcasting code.
The council prayed NBC sanction the television station for allowing its platform by the opposition to impinge on the integrity of the 25 February 2023 Presidential elections.
In the two-page petition by the campaign council Director, Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga on behalf of the Special Adviser, Media, Public Affairs and Communications, dated March 30, 2023, it accused the station of allowing the Vice Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Datti Baba-Ahmed to use of its wavelength to make wild and incendiary comments impugning the integrity of the 2023 Presidential elections.

9. Ogun: Abiodun receives Certificate of Return, says mandate call to renewed hope
Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and attributed his victory at the March 18 governorship election to the Almighty God and the benevolence of the people of the state.
Abiodun, who alongside his deputy, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele and 25 winners in the House Assembly elections, equally lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for providing the enabling environment for free, fair, credible and transparent elections in the country.
Speaking further during the presentation ceremony held inside the INEC Media Centre, Magbon, Abeokuta, the governor said “this mandate is a call to a renewed hope not just for Ogun State, but the entire nation. I will continue with the people’s oriented programmes that will make life abundant to our people”.
10. EPL: Man Utd decides on Mason Greenwood’s return to training
Manchester United have told Mason Greenwood that he cannot return to training before the season ends, according to MailOnline.
The 21-year-old has not played for the Red Devils since January 2022, after he was arrested and subsequently charged with attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault.
